Great name, really like it a lot. I do love botanical names though, unlike my DH who isn’t a fan of many, yet he does like Daphne. The scent of the plant is so beautiful too, that helps me to like the name more.

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for it. It's a good name that should be used more.

I really like Daphne. I'm not sure if I love it enough that I'd use it if the choice was purely up to me, but it's up there and I wouldn't mind having a daughter called Daphne if that's a name my partner and I agreed on.

It is a name that is always growing on me, but I’ve never loved it. My mum said the other day that she realised she liked the name after watching a film (or book, I can’t remember) with a Daphne in it. I think she was the villain though, lol.

Nice name. Shortens to Daffy, which is uncomfortably Duck.

I used to really dislike Daphne because it reminded me of Daffy Duck. That was my immediate write-off. My opinion changed when I actually met real people named Daphne (customer service) and I was able to say it aloud a few times in a neutral setting. I realized it's actually a pretty cool name to have - and like you, it grew on me.Daffodil as a name, though, still absolutely makes me think of Daffy Duck (and makes me laugh).

I wax and wane on this one, for some reason. I went to grade school with a Daphne and liked the name on her. And I've always liked that it was not so common. Now I feel like it's becoming a little more popular, which tends to turn me away from a name. Also, I've had a couple of less likeable associations over the years, though not people I knew personally. Currently, I'm fairly lukewarm towards the name but could probably come back around to it.

I really like it, though more pronounced Daphnay as it would in French and Italian than Daphnee.

I like this name too but it reminds of the duck.
