Help[Opinions] Amity
So I've been watching The Owl House and Amity has quickly become a favorite character. And then I realised I liked her name quite a bit. It might be for the strong association with her, but what do you think of the name Amity?

I personally love Willow, always have, but Alador interested me a lot. Odalia, Emira, Edalyn and Azura I like.
I can't say I actively dislike any of the names, but I do agree Luz sounds too much like "Loose" and I personally wouldn't choose to use it
I have recently been surprised at the opinions of Lilith. Not just on this topic, but others too. I didn't realise the opinions were largely negative. I don't mind Lilith, though I prefer Lilian and especially just Lily.

I didn't come up with it, though! I'm pretty sure it's what Amity's siblings call her on the show :)

Though I probably didn't connect it because wasn't it the episode where they were in snow and wrapped up for the occasion and Amity was wearing mittens anyway? I think it was unless I missed it with their intro episode

I don't hate Amity, but I don't like the mitty sound, and it seems impersonal to me, like a business name; I probably also associate "equity", which reminds me of finance.
I like Alador a lot.
Emira and Gus are cute.
Odalia, Azura, and Luz are interesting.
I slightly like Eda and Willow.
I don't like Boscha, Skara, King, Lilith, Owlbert or Hooty and am pretty indifferent to Edric.

Ah I see your point, it didn't register to me. The first word that came to mind was "amicable" which, after looking it up, comes from the same place lol

I want to like Amity, but Amityville horror is the first thing that comes to mind.
Luz - I went to school with a nice woman named Luz. I have fond feelings toward this name.

I prefer Amy to Amity. Amity and Lilith are ok, king is good for a dog, hooty and owlbert are cute for owls

I don't know about the character, but I knew an Amity in real life. I think it's a really cool name. Underrated!
Luz - only for characters. Sounds like loose, and "light" is kind of weird as a name (not half as bad as Lux though!)

Lilith - self-consciously demonic, gross. Well, on a person I try to not think of that - so it just seems like it's just Lily with a slightly goofy flourish, like Marith or Annith.
Willow - okay concept but I don't like the wobbly sound.
Gus - don't like the sound of it. Rhymes with bus and pus.
King - droll on a dog.
Odalia - eh, I just can't with "owed" names. They all remind me of odor and odious.
Alador - cool. dunno about IRL but it looks cool.
