[Opinions] Re: Perdita
in reply to a message by Idony
I don't think Perdita of 101 Dalmatians would be that impactful to be honest. It's not a name that's usually used for pet dogs it's not a "dog name" to me. And this is coming from a person whose (probably) second favorite Disney movie of the Gold/Silver age is 101 Dalmatians so of course this is the character I think of very strongly.I like Perdita a lot. I vaguely knew (ish) somebody with this name. She was somebody from school but like 2 or 3 years above me. She went by Perdie / Purdey or how ever she spelled it. I have a theory that she was named partly after The New Avengers (1970s) TV series character Purdey because her parents would have been the prime demographic for the series when it first aired and I feel that the name would be more strongly associated with that character than 101 Dalmatians.... at least, at the time.---"one particular boogie will move mirror massaging with stirring crepe mixture, positioning loaves while in the furnace then toting items in containers" ~ best Russian daing sites (guest, 198.144.149.xxx) (2020)
