[Opinions] Re: Buck's Fizz nt

Buck's Fizz sounds like a deer needing to use the restroom. Mimosa is a much more appealing name for a drink.

origin of name
To be fair, it was named after the club (Buck's) who invented it. So if it was invented by Harold / Harry , it would have been Harry's Fizz. It makes sense in context

The association with the place of orgin does explain the name. According to the internet, Buck's Fizz contains a higher ratio of champagne to orange juice than a Mimosa.
I associate Mimosas with first class travel in movies and the Tequila Sunrise Mimosa at beach restraunts.

Ah so it's not the exact same drink.
I've never heard of it before, personally. But I asked my friend (since I don't drink and I'm probably a bad person to ask for alcoholic associations) and she'd never heard of it as a drink either, but she recognises it from a type of salad.
So salads. Probably better than alcohol depending on what your outlook on life is.
To me, however, its a flower of a sunny yellow colour comparable to sunflowes, though I believe they can come in other colours.
I went to have a look to clarify this and yes, Mimosa can refer to a couple of different plants including this one which I found quite funny;

"Mimosa pudica" otherwise known as "sensitive plant", "touch-me-not" and "shameplant" lol
That particular one is purple in colour

Never heard of the salad! In Italy, besides the salad it’s the name of a kind of cake.
Ooo a cake is a much sweeter association xD
I'm glad, looking at all the comments, that the alcohol isn't a) the most common association and b) the only association
It's a cute name imo and will probably do nicely as a middle
