One of my coworkers recently welcomed a new son named Taylen. Taylen joins his big brother Braylen.
Both of the names are passable on their own, but as a sibset it’s too matchy.

My first thought: those would be obnoxious as twin names; but they aren't even twins and their names are that alike?
My second thought: wait, Braylen is a boy? If I heard the name aloud I'd think the parent was saying Braelyn and calling for their daughter. (This could be because I have a much younger cousin named Braelyn.)
My third thought: wow, are these are some stereotypically bad names.

A new baby is a bliss, especially in this year full of illness.
About the names..
I rate both 2/10
They are obviously madeup and so cheesy and trendy!
No history behind them.
Together in a sibset they are even worse.

What if she has another one? Shaylen? A fourth- Jaylen? Fifth- Quaylen? This could go on for all 26 letters of the alphabet!

Here I was, just innocently lurking around on Ops when I saw this.
Had to go to the trouble of signing in to say how ridiculous this is. It's really laughable.

No imagination. I only find them passable in the context of them passing fleetingly through the mind before being thrown in the homogenised pile of Taylors / Taylas, Braydens, Baylors, Kailyns etc etc. Completely forgettable and atrocious as a sibset.
