I don’t like it. It’s not so much that it has “ass” in it. You can spell it Asaad or Asad if you like the name but don’t like the “ass” part.
I don’t like it because all I can think of is Bashar Assad the Syrian dictator.

I don't particularly care for it, but I do prefer the spelling of 'Asad' As another user pointed out, Assaad has "ass" in it. Very unfortunate. I also feel that the spelling is unnecessary. (More letters than need be)

I like the sound, and the meaning is nice, but for me the associations with Bashar al-Assad/the Assad regime in Syria are too strong to fully appreciate the name.

Asad is nice. The “ass” in Assaad is pretty awful, though.
