I liked it ever since I found out it was used as a name. I think it's sweet. Antique sweet like Shirley or June.
It's enough like Sherry and Cherie (and Ruby and Charity), to seem antique rather than trashy. (by trashy I don't mean the opposite of classy, I mean like noisynora's image of it, self-consciously rockabilly or something) It seems cheerful and gentle. I'm sad about the salacious associations that make it kinda, sorta unusable - if it were a new usage, they'd make me not like it.
