[Opinions] Seweryna
What do you think of Seweryna? (Pronounced seh-veh-RI-na). It’s the Polish form of Severina. What would you rate it out of 10?Any thoughts or comments are appreciated. :)_________________

As a Scandinavian-Pole, I've always hated this name. A lot. Sewveryna just doesn't sound good in my opinion. I'm sure there are Poles who love this name, but definitely not me.

Interesting to see an opinion from someone who is Polish (or partially). Thanks for replying. :)

It's pretty knowing how to pronounce it, but all I see when I look at it is still sewer :/

I wish I were to specify what do you think of the actual sound of the name and if it were to be used in Poland and not so much the spelling...I know “sewer” is not an appealing word to English speakers! I feel I more so ask about names in general and not how they would be perceived in real life in English-speaking countries. Thanks for the response. :)

I'd be delighted to meet one and be very curious about it as a name, but that "sewer + yna" is not a winning combo (to my English eyes). It would constantly be mispronounced like....well, like "sewer-ina". Or like "sower-ina" which isn't that pretty either.... If Bogdana makes people think of toilets, there's no hope for poor Seweryna.Oh, sorry, the rating! It's a complicated name, I'd give it a 4/10

Seweryna 5.5/10, Severina 7.5/10.Fits a cool villainess.

Its resemblance to a drainage system counts against it. I'd leave it happily in Poland where it belongs.Severina doesn't appeal to me either. Too long and complicated and rhythmically boring for what you get. I'd give it a 4/10; I've got no idea how Polish people would rate Seweryna.

I'm not Polish; this one should be kept strictly within Poland, and preferably not even there.
Any name that starts with sewer is a bad idea.

1/10Sorry, but I don't like Severina to begin with and with the English word "sewer" RIGHT IN YOUR FACE with the "-ina" ending, saying "Sewer-ina" makes me laugh my head off. Can't support.Payback for the Polish people making fun of Zadkiel ;)

9/10I think it's gorgeous! I prefer Severina, though. (I live in the States, if that offers any context.)

2 or 52, if used in English-speaking places, by non-Polish people. 5 if they're Polish.I like Severina. I'd give that a 7.

Pointless if you aren’t Polish.

In Polish it's a bit clunky but not terrible. Sewcia isn't too awkward so I could see it on a kid. 6/10In English the "w" doesn't make sense and it's sewer-yna which is very unappealing. 2/10, would not use.

7/10Hi !!!I rate Seweryna 7/10.It is interesting. Nothing I would use but I have a spot for Polish names. I don't know why but their look is great and they are somehow familiar.I would use Seweryna for a character.
