I love it. It's twangy and warm.

I know a Chinese woman named Mei-Lin, so my thoughts about her have influenced my opinion of this young child. But I think I would probably not have enjoyed it anyway. I like May, and don't usually enjoy -een or -ene names; plus, May doesn't need to be elaborated.

Not the worse I ever heard. But I much prefer Marlene.

It's sweet vintage charm, yeah ... overload of it, IMO, and not much substance otherwise. Not to my taste. I don't like May either.
It's not a bad name, though. I kinda how it has equal stress on each of two syllables.
