[Opinions] Euphrasia
I fell in love with this name last night as I was trying to fall asleep. I love that it's antique and ornate but so sparkly and sprightly, too. Plus, I learned that it's the name of a plant colloquially known as eyebright and historically associated with the Zodiac sign Leo (my sign) and used to treat bad memory. Cool! Here are some combos:Euphrasia Betony
Euphrasia Celestina
Euphrasia Domitilla
Euphrasia Dorothea
Euphrasia Eleonora
Euphrasia Eloisa
Euphrasia Leonora
Euphrasia Liliana
Euphrasia Magdalena
Euphrasia Marguerite
Euphrasia Millicent
Euphrasia Peony
Euphrasia Raphaela
Euphrasia Romola
Euphrasia Tatiana
Euphrasia Theodora
Euphrasia Ursula
Euphrasia Violetta
Euphrasia Viviana

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. It really is lovely, and I love the meaning.Betony and Peony are the winners here. I think it could go well with other C names, and maybe more florals.

I love it! Eu- names are so charming, especially the ones for girls, and their French variants are lovely as well. I also love the meaning.
Euphrasia Peony is delightful! I'm always a fan of Millicent too.

Being an amateur herbalist, I use the herb eyebright quite a bit and love its energy. "Euphrasia" is a Greek word that basically means "good-hearted". That would fit astrologically, as the sign Leo rules the heart. Parents in the 1800s US really took to the ancient classical names, including "Eu-" names like Eunice, Eudora, Eugene, etc. When I was younger, I didn't like those names at all. As time goes on, I'm acquiring an appreciation for them.*
