Blair is a name whose idea I like much more than the reality. I think she (while I acknowledge unisex usage, I think of it as a feminine name, likely due to the similar sound to Claire) looks wonderfully sophisticated on paper; however, when said aloud I get the image of car horn and sirens blaring, and it doesn't leave. :-(
For this reason, my vote would go to Briar, which I appreciate as an underused botanical name. (I also view Briar as mainly feminine, which is admittedly my attitude toward most botanical names.) Just... don't pair it with Rose, please. Too cliché.
