[Opinions] Lior
I'm starting to really love the name Lior (for a male).
I've always wanted to honour my Jewish heritage through my children's names, but Lior offers something extra. Helen, my name, means "light", while Lior in Hebrew means "my light". Whether or not this link is excessively sentimental, I find it quite beautiful.
Anyway, what do you think of Lior?
Thanks guys.

I think the connection is sweet in a good way--not excessively sentimental. I like the name Lior and it's quite rare, at least where I live. I think it'd be a great way to honour your heritage.
Hi Helena,
this was one of the topics on the essentialbaby site, it's growing on me, I like it for a boy especially. Doesn't sound like lie/lier to me at all. Go for it.

Lior is a new name to me but I like it. I assume it is pronounced as "LEE-or"?
I also like the thought of honoring your heritage but not using a super popular biblical name.
