[Opinions] Harry

I WAS going to comment positively on the Harry Styles association, but then I saw the comparisons to "hairy". Now I can't shake it!
I don't like that it is a homonym for hairy.
While I've met a few very elderly Americans with the nickname Harry, it seems more common in Britain.

Hairy. Don't like Harold at all, bad association
It's ok
I like it, but it’s very very popular where I live. It doesn’t sound like hairy in an English accent, so doesn’t have that problem here.
I want to like it. I like several namesakes and it has a pleasant association for that reason. But God help me, as much as I'd rather not, I hear "hairy" every time. Pair it with a second name and I hear "Hairy John", or whatever. It feels almost juvenile, but there you have it.

I agree with everything WinterWonderland wrote.
