They are both fine. I don't really like Mia, or how it means "mine" - I think it makes it kind of grammatical and goofy, like considering "There" for a name. But, you like it. I also think it's better as a nickname, I think it's kind of infantile.
It's super common. But common names are less common now than they used to be - if you look at "percentage used," even the most common names probably aren't going to be anonymous.
I like Vivian and I like the meaning - and I don't really like Mia - so for me it's no question. lol There's also Viviana, which is a bit florid for me but maybe you would like it.
Maybe you would consider Mia as a nickname, which would alleviate some of its commonness? Maria is the classic choice. Other ones, maybe, Melia, Meliora... uhh, Minerva... Miranda... shrug
