[Opinions] Valor

I like Valora for a girl, but not Valor.
I prefer Valora.
Valor as a name would be tricky where I'm from - first, the spelling would trip people up: the word itself is spelled "valour" so Valor would probably be misspelled all the time. Also, a locally famous street was renamed "Valour Road" after three men who lived on the street served in the first world war together - only one survived. So a Valor in my area would probably have to deal with "oh, like Valour Road?" and then "Why is it spelled wrong?".
It's a cool idea. Kind of sounds like a heroic dog's name. Or a horse!

Would Valora have the same problem, since it's the American spelling of valor with an a? Would people expect it to be Valoura?
I don't think it would, because it has a different emphasis. VAL-ur vs va-LOR-ah. Hard to say though!
I think Valor is a great name, especially as a mn, BUT only for a boy.
I like it better as a masculine name (at least currently), I think because of how the ending sounds, but I think it makes a good unisex name because "Val" is often feminine. I also like good old Valorie and could get behind Valora (but NOT Velour/Veloura).
I love Valor but only on a boy I'm finicky like that haha. It sounds very handsome and strong to me. It's up there with the likes of word middles in my mind along with Gallant, Courage, Noble, etc.
Don't like it at all
Yeah, no thank you. I'm not into virtue name or anything like that at all (shouldn't be so expectant of your kids, there's so many other much better sounding ones) and it would sound better on a boy to me anyway.
It's ok, but I like Velvet better, oh and Velour!
