[Opinions] Merriment
Replies
It's interesting and doesn't immediately repel me.
I like a lot of iffy names for actual human beings, but even I think this one is extremely risky; akin to calling a kid "Joyride" or something. But on the other hand, people's vocabularies are shrinking, so maybe they wouldn't know what "merriment" means. But it still bears too close a resemblance to "merry men" for my liking. It's an attractive word, I can see the appeal - there's something very Puritan-Beatrix Potter about it. It would be a great name for a bunny rabbit or a guinea pig.
Merri or Merry as a short form is a nice escape hatch at least. In terms of merry- names, Merrily is my favourite, it's so cheery.

It's bad. Although it kinda does sound like a name, if I force myself to forget the word.
You could name her brother Laughingstock. (nah that is worse)
I know you said you don't want alternatives, but it does make me think of Marimel. Not sure where I heard that, or whether I made it up.

Child abuse.
It's pretty joyful I guess
maybe for an animal
It sounds like the name of some cartoon elf advertising some gross kiddie cereal.
