Love it, love it, love it! I love the meaning, sound, feel (fun, feisty, mischievous, and generally badass), and nicknames. It's a familiar, but unusual choice that I think is so beautiful, and super cool, it's my number one.

I guess it’s okay, but I would never use it.

It’s starting to grow on me even though I can only think of the jewlery. Not a bad association or anything.

I really like it. I think it has a charming and distinctive sound. I really like the consonant/vowel pattern. I think Pan and Panda and Dora are fun. I also think the Pandora myth is a pretty accurate portrayal of the situation of our times.

Those dumb charm bead things have ruined this name for me I think. It used to have such gravitas.

You know, I didn't even think about those when I commented; but I guess they are pretty ubiquitous (you'd have to be ubiquitous jewelry if you're advertising on TV). My first thoughts still go to the myth / Pandora's Box - I feel like people who aren't well-versed in Greek Mythology still have heard of that one (along with the Labors of Hercules and Perseus vs. Medusa).

Adrian Mole!Wonderful old BBC (or ITV?) series in which young teenage Adrian has to deal with his parents' dissolving marriage, the neighbours, the school bus, and the beautiful, desirable, unobtainable Pandora. As the theme song had it: "I'm profoundly in love with Pandora! My poetry has existential themes. The passion with which I adore her Goes all bouncy in my dreams."Somewhat unsuitable in the real world, but a great boon to the world of the imagination.

I love Pandora! It's probably my favorite "Dora" name, even more than the more familiar (but still uncommon) Theodora. When I was a teenager I liked the combo Pandora Hope, but now I realize how cheesy that was, lol.
