[Opinions] Raziel?
WDYT?
Quite an interesting name I happened to stumble upon...

To me it will always be associated with the webcomic Noblesse.
Reminds me of razors. Pass.
I prefer Azriel over this personally, this kind of makes me think of a rodent unfortunately.
Like the sorceress in "Willow"?
My mind immediately went to the movie Willow, an old childhood favorite. It made me check the spelling for the character's name, and sure enough it was Fin Raziel (played by the late Patricia Hayes). Is that where you found the name?
It looks cool, but could lead to lots of pronunciation difficulties. The movie, for instance, calls her "rah-ZEL," but most people are likely to pronounce this "RAH-zee-el." Not to mention that this name is masculine in Judaism / Judeo-Christian legend. I'm not really fond of its sound as a masculine name, and prefer Raziela as a feminine name, anyway.

I like it, but I would associate it too much with Raysel from the October Daye books to use it IRL.
It has an exotic sound and an intriguing meaning. It should be considered both for a real child and a fictional character.
