[Opinions] Alexandra
This is my favorite girls name. What are your honest opinions on Alexandra?

Ok well apparently I'm alone here, but I think Alex and especially Allie are adorable nicknames. I don't think Alexandra is dated. To me, that's like saying Elizabeth is dated. It's one of the true classic names to me, and at least among people I know, was not overused during its popular period.
I like Alexandra a lot. It's not a favorite but I wouldn't be upset if I had to use it.

I like the full name, even though it's too popular. I like Alexandria better because it's a little more historical and fantastical while still being very usable. The problem is that all the nicknames sound boring and almost nobody goes by Alexandra.
I like Alexandra a lot but it always becomes a nickname and I don't like any of those.
Inconveniently long, and I don't like the rhythm - emphasis on the first and third syllables. As four-syllable names go, I prefer Elizabeth, Felicity, Victoria.
It is also tainted by association with Alexander, which is a splendid name but has been too popular for too long. The world is full of people known as Alex or Alexis, and not all of them are males. If I used Alexandra, it would be as a mn only.

I've always liked Alexandra too. So elegant. Part of me thinks it's a bit dated. But very few go by Alexandra in full. They mostly use a nickname, none of which I care for. Those almost all sound extremely dated. So Alexandra in full has not become boring for me. Just the nicknames.
It's boring. Lexi is much nicer.
Very pretty, but the NNs are not my favorite.
I find it very 90s, but I guess that's retro now! I love it as a middle name because I hate all the Alexandra nicknames, and in the middle it won't get butchered.
It's a fine name, nothing wrong with it.

Apparently 2000s is retro too, lol...
I'm only 17, but that makes me feel old for some odd reason.

One of the best names, but I'm biased :)
