Does anyone still remember Evolet? It was used for the female main character in a movie in the late 2000s (10,000 BC) which was quite popular.

The name was given to over 150 girls per year a few years ago and there are still girls named Evolet every year.

Apparently it is "the love" backwards with the H omitted. It sounds like Violet + Evelyn.

What do you think? Does it work for you?

""The love" backwards with the h omitted" makes me laugh a bit, if that's what it was supposed to be why omit a letter?

To me it looks like the name of a mech from an anime. But it doesn't sound horrible.

Prefer Ayelet

I see why this name gets a bit of attention, but it doesn't work for me. I prefer the similar Ayelet.

Eh...I'll pass on this one. Don't think it works as well as Violet or Evelyn, yet it is kind of refreshing at the same time.

I do find its usage interesting though. The fact that it is still being used on girls today amuses me.

I don't think I would mind it if it was spelled Evelette, like a variant of Evelyn, but the Evolet spelling looks weird.
