[Opinions] Chalice
Thoughts? I think it's kinda ugly-pretty.

I read this as Charlice at first but for that one I prefer the Charlize and Charleese spellings, this I don't believe I have come across yet. The -lice suffix is of course not the best for obvious implications regardless of pronunciation

I think it's too subtle.

Goodness! I thought it was toe-crushingly adolescent unsubtle ...

I was being facetious. :)But I do kind of feel like, why not Eucharist or Goblet or Lady? So, in a way, it's toned down and multidimensional.
And it doesn't sound worse than Chandler or Temple, really.Calixta / Calista / Calisto / Calixto seems more wearable but oh well.

It sounds like something a 14-year-old would think is really cool. I can’t help but think of that scene from the Da Vinci Code film. “Has he been telling you the grail is a CUP?” *exaggerated anatomical conversation with hand gestures*

It's very over the top "Goffik" which is really satisfying to me. It makes me think of Hammer Horror films and kids with too much eyeliner on posing in graveyards to look cool and morbid. I could easily see an Alice demanding to be called "Chalice" and telling her mother "it's not a phase". I'm adding this to my Kitschy names list!

The meaning is pretty daft for a human name; siblings could be Vase, Beaker and Mug.

This is used to hold the wine at communion (among Christians). I would be extremely surprised to encounter a human named Chalice. It's just too bizarre for me.

I think it’s pretty, but it’s a kind of random name.
