1. When you first see it how do you pronnounce it? RAHZ-uh-lyn
2. What's your favorite spelling? Rosaline. But I pronounce that like "line" at the end & not "lyn".
3. What is your opinons? I think Rosaline is pretty. Rosalyn just looks trendy imo. Rosaline makes me think of Romeo & Juliet. Though she's not a major character at all, Rosaline is the name of the woman Romeo is in love with before he meets Juliet.
4. Do you imagine this being popular in 30, 20 years? Probably only with the spelling Rosalyn. Rosaline? Nah.

1) ROWZ-ah-lynn
2) I like Rosaline better, which I pronounce ROWZ-ah-line.
3) My opinion, I like it, but there are 'rose' names which I like more eg: Rosemary, Rosalie etc.
4) I could imagine other 'rose' names becoming more popular, but Rosalyn somehow seems 'older' like it would always feel 'dated'. It could be the 'lyn' part that makes me think that.

1. I say RAH-zuh-lynn, which I like a lot. I know a lot of people dislike that pronunciation, but I think the other ones sound a bit wussy!
2. My favourite spelling depends on how you want to say it.
RAH-zuh-lynn: Rosalyn
RAHZ-lynn: Roslyn
ROH-sah-lynn: Rosalin, Rosalinne
ROH-sah-leen: Rosaleen, Rosaline
ROH-sah-lyne: Rosaline
roh-ZELL-in: Rose-Ellen, Rose Ellen, Rosellen
roh-ZAA-lin: Rosallen, Rose-Allen
3. I like it, particularly if she's called Raz. :) My favourites are Rosaleen, Rosalyn, and Rosellen. Rosaline reminds me too much of "rosin."
4. I could see the more "refined" forms, like Rosaline, coming around, but Rosalyn? Not really.

She had fallen against the windows, which were pressed against the windows, which were pressed against the old oak near across the age of the old Aunt Sophronia--was almost dreadful enough to walk on.
