It's kind of happy and bouncy, so that's good. Of course the -ette ending isn't fashionable right now, but who cares.

I've known only one Lynette. She was a secretarial/administrative type at one of my jobs. She made a huge deal of the fact that one of her duties was to input sales leads. She put a big sign on her cubicle announcing that she was working on leads. We all were so relieved to know she was doing her job. /s

BTW I like Lynette. But it does bring to mind Lanette, which is a sad, mushy sort of name that I have trouble tolerating. A friend of a friend is a Lanette so I end up hearing updates on Lanette's life fairly often. Ooof.

I went to high school with a Lynette and I remember thinking it was an odd little name then, very old fashioned and quaint, on par with something like Ellen or Susie. I still sort of think that - it's a quiet sort of name that doesn't attract much attention to itself. In that way, it's kind of sweet. I'm not sure if I prefer Lynnette or Linnet though. There's something sort of unfinished-looking about Lynette.

One of my favorite "filler" MNs, a little old fashion but it'll come back is my prediction.

As dated as all the Lin- and Lyn- names, but the freshest and most usable of the bunch; probably because, where I live anyway, it was never as fashionable as Linda, Lynn etc. I wouldn't use it, but I do rather like it.

It's a little dated, but not a bad name by any means. I like it better than the similar Annette.
