What do you think of Elisha?
Middle name suggestions?
What would you think if someone used it for a girl?
**Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

As a Bible reader, it's quite masculine to me but I have seen it used on girls so I'm not surprised when I hear it used as feminine. It works on both genders imo. I quite like Elisha, I find it soft and simple.
And another boy name bites the dust.
This was one of my ancestors names and he had siblings called Elizabeth, Ellanor, Elijah and Cornelius.
I always wondered what poor Cornelius had done.

I really like Elisha. There's something smart and romantic about it. It's pretty quirky in an old-fashioned way.
I wouldn't mind if someone used it for a girl, I can see why they would. In fact I feel pretty certain that I knew a female Elisha growing up - I think she said it "eh-LEE-sha"

I'm never sure how it's pronounced with a long I? Then Elijah is so much better. With a long ee sound? Then Alicia is less trouble.
Yes, like Elijah, but with the -sh sound.
I don't like it. It's too easily confused and the sound just doesn't work.
