[Opinions] Greenlee
WDYT of Greenlee? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

I like how it reminds me of Greensleeves in a way that other spellings don't. Beyond that, it seems like calling someone Brightly or Jolie, which I'd be fine with.

It's neat in theory. Green lea, a green meadow. That's the image I get. Kinda Anne of Green Gables ish.I met a Greenleigh who was a baby, when my daughter was a baby. It sounded neat. But I'm not sure how it'd feel to *call* someone that. I think I'd like it less, just because it is a little bit awkward out loud. I guess if it were pronounced with equal stress on the syllables, as if it were a doublename Green-Lee, it'd be okay... but that doesn't feel natural and it looks better as one name, like a surname, like Paisley ... so I dunno, I can't quite get enthused about it as a real person's name.

This is a total GP of mine. The only usage of it that I know is the character Greenlee Smythe from All My Children. I think in her case it was originally somebody's last name - but hearing her name when my mom watched the show helped normalize it for me.

I honestly HATE it. It ends with -lee, which is despise!

Disgusting.

I hate it, honestly. What if they don't like the color Green?

I think Greenlea might be nicer? It seems a bit more....gentle. Greenlee makes me think of a brand name written on the side of a delivery truck. Greenlea is weird but a touch more namey. Or Greenley? no. Greenleigh? Good god.

It's got a very unattractive sound. Like greenly. Makes me think of somebody who's getting seasick and about ready to throw up.

You don't think of nice things that are green, like pine trees or green grass?

No, it just doesn't come to mind when you have lee on the end of it. Even nice colors seem to turn odd when ly makes them advers.
He sat bluely staring out the window.
"That'll be the day" she said blackly.
She blushed redly.
His face was greenly pale.
