I think I prefer Ida as a first name and Opal as a middle. Ida still gives me slightly cheesy, Midwestern kitsch vibes, but on the other hand, I think it's kind of cute, vintage, and probably due for a comeback.

Opal still sounds a bit old-lady to me, but I think the meaning is cool and it's on-trend at the moment, so I would consider using it myself as a middle.
