I love it in theory but in real life I'd chicken out because of the word "prim".

I'd like to have a student named Primrose. I don't really have any other way of gauging names haha. I'm not sure I'd like a daughter named Primrose, or to be named it myself. It was my dog's shelter name and I call her Primrose and Primmy and Prim a lot. It's great for her, because she is a bit of a diva. I think Prim is a really cute and endearing sound but it's such a specific adjective that I'm not sure it's good for a person. I bet I'd call a Primrose PR.

Really the only thing that holds me back from liking it more is the meaning of the word Prim. Sort of like Priscilla, except worse because the adjective is "prissy" which isn't literally contained in Priscilla or its nicknames... dang Priscilla is a great name... shoulda named Prudence that... maybe it's not too late

I like it...it's very even-keeled, while being natural and evocative, but I think it has the same issue as Prudence (strongly identified with prude to a lot of people).

I like Pr* in names in general: Priya, Prisca, Priam, Prosper ... they sound clean and bright to me somehow.

I don’t really like it to be honest with you. I don’t associate it with hunger games however. If anything I prefer any other Rose name. Like Roseline, Rosaline, Rosabelle, Rosabella, Rosemary, etc... I also like Prima.

It's such a nice idea for a name!
But it just doesn't sound good at all to me.

And the thing my lips have to do when I say Primrose, just feels so gross.

Primula would be better (the Latin name for primrose).
Or Primarosa would be pretty fabulous.

I love it. It's elegant but also whimsical.

Rose is both trite and sickly sweet, and who wants to go through life being prim?

I love it and I have loved it since first reading the Hunger Games ten years ago ;) damn does time fly. I first started reading a friend's copy of it at a Track meet when I was recently 16 so exactly 1 decade ago prior. Off topic I'm sorry. But yes indeed I love Primrose, it is probably the most usable of the Hunger Games names besides Johanna or Rue though Rue is most usable in the middle spot imo.

Lovely name. A very sweet, vintage type of name.

It's cute. I don't think it's too associated with The Hunger Games. First of all the series has kind of disappeared (it didn't have staying power like Percy Jackson or Harry Potter) and second of all it fits in with those British garden names (Lily, Violet, Daisy, Poppy) so it's fine.

I like it but I dislike Prim and Primmy by themselves. I wouldn't use any nickname but if I had to Rose (I like Rose but if you were to call her that you might as well name her Rose).

It's so saccharine and sickly-sweet my teeth hurt.

I think it's cute, but it's got strong Hunger Games ties now.

I think it works. Very sweet name and I love to see a little baby girl named Primrose. I'm not sure if I would like the NN Prim or Rose better. Probably Prim though. :)
