It's okay. I don't have strong feelings either way. It makes me think of Dean, Rory's boyfriend, on Gilmore Girls and he turned out to be a bit of a clown (SPOILER cheated on his wife SPOILER). It also makes me think of the word "dean" which is a bit odd.

I used to when I was really into Gilmore Girls. Now I find it quite boring.

It's one of a small, but growing, group of one-syllable names that I like. It fits any age.

Love Dean! It’s in my top five favorites for boys.It always reminds me of either Dean Winchester (from “Supernatural”) or James Dean

Oh gosh, I absolutely LOVE Mr. Dean Winchester, along with the actor and of course the series. (;
It's the first association that always comes to my mind as well and a large percentage of why I really like the name as well, along with it being simple and virtually uncommon (in comparison to other names) but still well known.
I'd use Dean in an instant and would have no shame as to why. (: (Likely as a middle name though)

I don't enjoy Dean for any age, but I associate it more with 30+ men.

It's all right, I like a first name to be a bit more substantial but I think it has a nice sound. My nephew's middle name is Dean (full name Francis Dean).
