Hello Felie,

I like Maria but it's a bit boring.

I also like Mafalda, it is witchy and cool.

Matilde is sweet.

I like Mattia.

Matteo is handsome but too common.

I don't care for the others and I dislike the "MAU" sounds (Mauro, Maura, Maureen etc.)

Maria is the most common name in the world. That's why it can be judged as a boring name, although it is nice. I agree with you on the name Maria.
Fun fact: in Italy the most common feminine name is Maria, while the most common masculine one is Giuseppe (the Italian for Joseph).
