I've encountered both Arieta and Arietta as people's last names, so to me this looks like it's part of the surname-as-first-name trend. I vastly prefer Ariella / Arielle.Come to think of it, I'm not much of a fan of -etta names in general... and I tend to prefer -et to -ette as well (and also -el to -elle / -ella).***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
