I'm expecting a boy. We've chosen the name Judah Rayner, nn Jude.
You say: Oh, is Rayner a family name? I've never heard it before.
You think: And I don't like it either.
You suggest: Have you thought of Jude Reiner?
I'm expecting a girl. I think we're going to name her Delaney Corisande, nn Dela.
You say: That's pretty.
You think: I don't care for Delaney, and Corisande is too frilly-sounding for me.
You suggest: If you're going to call her Dela, why not use that for her name? Della Corisande would be nice, or Della Corinne.
I'm having a boy. We're really religious, and have no compunction about making our beliefs public, so we're naming our son Amos Obadiah.
You say: Those are unusual names.
You think: Poor kid! Biblical names are ok, but that combo is cruel!
You suggest: How about Aaron Elijah, Jonathan Isaac, or Nathan Job? I like Aaron Elijah.
I'm having a girl, and I love frilly, girly names. We're thinking of using Felicity Annis.
You say: That's nice, though Annis isn't one I'd think of as girly.
You think: Or pleasant, especially since it looks like anus.
You suggest: How about Felicity Ann or Francesca Anne?
I don't know whether it's a boy or girl, so I'm going with something unisex. The baby's name, regardless of sex, will be Avery Belrose. Belrose is an old family surname.
You say: Belrose is an interesting name.
You think: Though not especially attractive. I don't care for Avery for either sex.
You suggest: WDYTO Ava Belrose for a girl and Evan Belrose for a boy?
I'm expecting twin girls. I'm so excited, b/c I love theme-y names. They're going to be Lily Ruth and Iris Mae.

You think: Not bad, but Lily as a full name and Iris are nms.
You suggest: What about Lillian Ruth and Rosa Mae?
I'm expecting twin boys. I love alliterated names for twins, so my boys are going to be Ezra Kyle and Eben Keith.
You say: That might get a little confusing with identical initials.
You think: Bad idea, very bad idea.
You suggest: How about having initials EK for one and KE for the other, like Ezra Kyle and Keith Eben?
I'm adopting b/g twins. Since twin names always sound the same, I'm naming the girl Calla Eden and the boy Calvin Pierce.
You say: Having their names sound that much alike might get really confusing.
You think: They probably won't want to be a matched set anyway.
You suggest: How about Calla Eden and Kenneth Pierce?

Suggesting Corinne as a mn, I mean. DD was going to be Victoria Korrine after mommy :o), but I'd nixed the idea of any little boys who were Jr. and DH protested that it wasn't fair. Hence, she became Victoria Kathleen. :o) I love Jonathan Isaac (DH's fn is John) and Kenneth Pierce sounds so strong & masculine. VERY nice suggestions! ;o) Thanks for playing.
