Oh...noSeriously, the LEIGH TREND NEEDS TO STOP! You are RUINING the name Harper! Sorry if I seem too dramatic, but OMG, this is worse than Everleigh!

Yeah, I definitely agree. Harper was fine on its own. The leigh on the end ruins the name.

Yeah, it's not great. Amberleigh is ehhhh too. I know an Amberleigh, we were nearly friends but she's very...social climby and backstabby... and I remember meeting her as "Amber" and then her turning to me and saying everyone calls her Amber but actually her name is Amberleigh... in this weirdly dramatic way with some bit like Amberleigh is so much rarer and prettier and princess-ier than Amber, but she goes by Amber so us mere mortals aren't jealous of her super-unique super-wonderful name. Seriously. I remember looking at her like :| , thinking that... I don't like Amber, and I don't viscerally hate Amberleigh, but of the two names I'd pick Amber 100% of the time. And if my name were Amberleigh, I'd go by Amber and just not tell people my full name was Amberleigh.Anyway.Yeah, it's not great. It also sounds like it should be a publishing company. Like HarperCollins. HarperLeigh. Which isn't a bad thing, necessarily, it just...sounds like a business? Also, just my (UK) opinion, but gender reveals can go bugger off already. If I ever have a kid, I fully plan to not know what I get until he/she comes into this world, it'll be a fun surprise. And if I don't want to know, it sure isn't anyone else's business. I just find the whole thing weird. It might be a cultural thing, my family has always been very private and understated about pregnancy until the baby is actually here (I know a lot of other cultures are like that too), but the whole thing is weird to me. I don't get baby showers, and gender reveals are like... baby showers extra?

It's pretty bad. It's like a terribly trendy way of honoring Harper Lee, the author.Harper is already trendy and boring and Harperleigh looks odd and sounds like "harpy". At least Jade is nice but all together the combo feels a bit tacky.I guess they wanted to honor Amberleigh. Harper Leigh Jade would be better. Or a completely different name.

AwfulWhy not just Harper? Harper Jade doesn't sound so bad.

Everything about this is so tacky, I almost love it.Harper is an interesting choice to hook up to Leigh. Makes me want to experiment with creating my own -leigh monstrosities, and see what I come up with.

Kinda what I said!

That would be a fun name game!

NooooooooooI hate it. We need to stop with the leigh names. The leigh ruins Harper for me.

Nick is the odd one out in that family, unless his name is Nickelodeon. My fifteen-year-old self would have diagnosed serious inferiority complexes in the parents, leading them to turn their child into the showy, trashy celeb they can never aspire to be. And she might just have had a point.

Harper Leigh is terrible. We’re they trying to honor Harper Lee??

No.
Harper is bad enough, but sticking the trendy suffix "leigh" on the end? Seriously?
If they really wanted to, they should've just named the baby Harper Jade.

Harperleigh sounds like something a toddler would make up. Jade is OK.What is Blackpool Tower, anyway?

Blackpool is a seaside town, downmarket and proud of it, full of mass-produced trinkets, over-priced and inedible food, loud muzak and drunken revellers, plus the occasional disapproving pensioner who remembers it (inaccurately) from the 1950s before the country went to the dogs. And the Tower is the neon-lit centrepiece.

Blackpool Tower was built in the 1890s and inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris it stands 158m high. It was the tallest man made structure in Britain when it opened.
