[Opinions] Perdita
Aside from the unfortunate etymology how do you feel about this name? I like it in terms of the Shakespeare association tbh though most people probably only associated it with 101 Dalmatians. I think if Imogen can return I think Perdita should get a chance in the sun as well, to me it's dignified, & delicate yet strong. WDYT?Also: which to you are the most usable of the female Shakespearen names? I'd list my favorites here but there are more that I like than dislike so it'd take all day XDPlease rate my "Names I would use" list if you have a spare moment, feel free to rate other lists too if you want but ik there's a lot, thank you :) https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/223226/138473

Love it! It’s been on my list for a while. “Lost” doesn’t necessarily have to be negative. There’s a bit of romance in the idea of being lost, as long as it’s temporary. I could see there being a cute story behind it.

I do too! It just makes me think of nimble feminine strength, like a bird

It’s pretty cool but I only think of 101 Dalmatians.

I love Perdita! Dita would be a cute nickname. I think the meaning can be interpreted poetically.

that's a good way to think of it!

Perdita does sound pretty, it reminds me of a glamourous movie star but it actually means lost.
:(
I love 101 Dalmatians, so that was my immediate association, which is good but she's also a dog. I also grew up watching a PBS Kids animated show called George Shrinks about a doll sized boy named George living with his normal height family. George's mom is named Perdita.

I totally forgot about George Shrinks let alone that his mother was Perdita! Wow

I've met two Perditas IRL. I think the sound is very pretty. The meaning seems sad to me, but that doesn't make it less wearable, just not something I'd use.I think most of them are usuable. Phoebe, Rosalind, Beatrice, Hippolyta, Miranda, Cleopatra, Octavia, Hermione, Jessica, Olivia, Cassandra are some I like.
