Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti is pretty private about her family life, but it turns out she recently had her a second child, a boy named Dorian Lev. He joins big sister Kelsi Amel. Cristoforetti’s partner is French, hence the names’ vaguely international vibe, I suppose.

Thoughts? The only I really like is Lev, and I’ve no idea why she didn’t spell Kelsi as Kelsey, which would have been way better IMO.

I was also naively expecting names with an “astronomical “ theme, say, Orion and Luna?

Dorian Lev is beautiful, Kelsi Amel is too satiny and futuristic.

I wish it was Dorian & Amel. That duo is gorgeous. Or even Lev & Amel, that has a very smooth vibe.

I'm the same way, in that I always expect people to choose names relevant to their vocations!

Oof, Kelsi Amel is hideous. Dorian Lev is much, much better.

I quite like Dorian Lev, actually. (I'd prefer Levi, but Lev isn't bad.) I will say, however, that Kelsi & Dorian do not sound related.
