[Opinions] Makayla
Makayla means “who is like God?”. What do you think of the name?

It’s so so dated. There was a huge trend for Mc-names for a while, which overlapped with the cutesy, meaningless k-l name trend (Keely, Kaylee, Kyla, etc.) to make various respellings of Michaela a contagious, inescapable disease for a number of years. I was glad when it petered out and I’m not anxious for a relapse.
It sounds like it was made of plastic, and the spelling is ugly.
It reminds me of a tropical bird. Pretty! A bit loud. Could be mystical. Not 'proper'...it's transliterated, anyway, though.

If spelled Michaela, then perfectly fine. Makayla on the other hand is just trendy and rather horrible. I knew someone when I was 16 who had a daughter and named her Makayla and at the time, I just thought, uh whatever, it’s ok. But the more I thought about it and the older I got, the more I couldn’t stand that spelling!
I like it, but I prefer it spelled Mikayla.
I much prefer the spelling of Michaela
It is a creative spelling of Michaela and I dislike the way it looks.
The Skandinavian Mikaela is the best spelling, in my opinion. Michaela is fine too.
Mikayla and McKayla looks pretty bad. But Makayla is even worse. It really looks as if you heard it somewhere and had no idea how to spell it.
Sorry :(

Not a fan of it. I like Michael better, for a girl.
Nice
I really hate this name, sorry. I have bad associations with this name, plus it sounds bratty and mean.
I love it; it's our daughter's middle name. I think now I slightly prefer the spelling Mikayla, but this is one name that I prefer in its less traditional spelling. (The newer spellings are now much more popular than the original.)
