My mother's half-brother and his wife just welcomed a son named Fryderyk (fri-DEH-rik). He has an older brother named Franciszek (fran-CHEE-shek). Thoughts?

Love the alliteration! But how will they shorten Fryderyk? Is it going to be Franek and Fredek? Frycek? I love the full names but I feel like the nicknames will have to be somewhat mismatched just because of how good Franek is. Still, it's a very good set.

I don't know yet - so far, they call Franciszek Franio, but they'll probably progress into Franek once he gets older (I think he's 3 now). As much as I like Fryderyk, I agree that it doesn't have many good nicknames.
