What do you think of Kipling? **middle aged woman who angers easily**

Mostly it reminds me of the word stripling.
The -ling makes it sound kinda twee and childish.
Otherwise it's Rudyard, which might not be PC.
I think Kip would do better as a name today.
Or Kipley would also be better.

It would be cute on a small dog or a pygmy goat or spider monkey. The name reminds me of the auther Rudyard Kipling and, by extension, "The Jungle Book" and animals with lots of personality.

I don't know ...I've never kipled. It doesn't work too well as a first name; it sounds like a small Kip, or like a verb.

Haha! That's the first thing I thought, too! It's an old joke, isn't it?

Rudyard. Very much a one person name as far as I'm concerned.

Cake...Mr Kipling is the most recognised brand of supermarket cake slices and the like here in the UK, so that's what I think of first. After that I'd think of Rudyard Kipling, so colonialism and the Raj and cultural appropriation (along with some good stories, of course).I couldn't really see it as a given name these days. If I did - and I know this is a departure from my usual tastes - I'd love to see it on a girl.

I don’t know why but it makes me think of a dog food brand, maybe because Kipper comes to mind...

I don’t mind the sound of it, but the meaning is nothing amazing! I actually don’t mind just Kip either, though I wouldn’t use either.

I think that name is the name of a Lizard in Jessie but I can’t remember. Either way I don’t really like it. The name isn’t horrible but it sounds kinda weird.
