[Opinions] Jane
What are your opinions on Jane as a first name? Do you like it as a middle name? Would you find it out of place with siblings who have multiple syllables (like Matilda and Flora)?

Yawn, it's dull. Matilda and Flora are also dull, but since they are ah names, I don't think they will match with Jane. Perhaps Jerusha, instead.

I think Jane is kind of classic and it would be fine as a first name. I like the Jane Austen connection.
Jane would sound okay with both Flora and Matilda. Jane and Flora would be great together. I don't like Jane and Matilda as much. I think Matilda is longer than the other two. I'd like Matilda better with Jane or Flora if Matilda doesn't go by a nickname most of the time.
good luck!

Very good name pretty name as a first. Good as a middle. Classic too. Boring, yes, but in my opinion that’s what makes it so great. It’s boring. It would go great with an unusual middle name. Somewhat refreshing some the try-hard unique names. In my opinion it’s okay with Matilda and Flora.

I adore Jane, it’s on my Top 10. I just think it’s so classic and pretty. I don’t think it’s out of place with Matilda and Flora.

Jane is a beautiful classic name, that can work equally as well for a fn or a mn. Matilda, Flora and Jane would be very sweet for sisters. But so would Matilda, Flora and Jemima and also Matilda, Flora and Esme.

Jane Mary is my SO aunt’s name though she was born in Mauritius as her father was in the military. Mother subsequently admitted if she had known how popular it was for that generation in the uk she wouldn’t have used it. I like Jane as a first name though and have known Jane’s and Jayne’s in my generation. I find it a common filler name middle name for my generation but if there was a reason behind it I wouldn’t judge.I think it sounds fine with Matilda and Flora as siblings names don’t have to flow. I know a sib set of four sisters called Aria Mia Fiona and Elodie which don’t match either.

Jane is overdone as a middle name, but I'm fond of it as a first. I like pairing Jane with elaborate middles:Jane Adelaide
Jane Adelasia
Jane Alexandra
Jane Amaryllis
Jane Andromeda
Jane Aurelia
Jane Calpurnia
Jane Eloisa
Jane Lavinia
Jane Letitia / Jane Laetitia
Jane Medusa
Jane Minerva
Jane ValentineJane goes well with any "classic" name (in a set), as well as anything that trended in the Victorian Era.

It's pretty plain, as a mn it's ok. Yes I'd fine it out of place with those names, she'd need a a ending too to match her sisters

It's very pretty, and due for a comeback, both as a first and middle name. It works well with Matilda and Flora.

No I think Jane would be fine with Matilda and Flora, even Elizabeth in fact circa Pride and Prejudice. Now if we started getting into classics more elabrate and less common then maybe it's taking it a little too far but as it is this would be a cute set.

I do not love the name Jane, however, I love Janie. With Flora, I think Jane goes well with it. With Matilda, Jane sounds smaller. But, Jane is a good and popular name.
