Help[Opinions] Dudley
This is my middle name. I used to really hate it because of the "Dud" sound that was right in your face. I was named after a relative, so I can't change my name. People at my school would say that it was really old, or a name for a dog, lmao. What are your opinions on this name, and do you think it's weird that a 17 year old has it? I've come to terms with my name and I've accepted it. It helps bring my name together, I guess. I'm just curious what other people think about it.

It's fine, don't worry. I actually think it will have a bit of a comeback. It is rising slightly (beyond the top 1000).

It fits rather well with the currently popular "old man" style names. I have recently fallen for Dempsey, which has a similar vibe. And I am an absolute sucker for family names. I think it is the history geek in me. So it does not overly surprise me on a young person.
I'm seeing names like Walter, Harvey, etc... with increasing frequency.. You may just be ahead of the curve with this name.

It's definitely comical. It's so hapless and bumbling and just goofy. Yeah, good dog name, especially for a big, clumsy, galumphing dog who wags his tail and knocks over lamps.
