1. I like it, but not sure how I'd work with this name. I like that it is an alternative to Freyja. I don't think it is traditonally used as a name outside Norse mythology though. According to Statistics Norway there are less than 3 people bearing Vanadis as a first name (meaning there could be none). There are 6 women in Sweden.
I think it would work best on its own or as a middle name.
2. vah-nah-DEES, but I've never heard it said out loud in any Scandinavian languages.
