It is starting to feel more and more classic to me which is sort of weird. But I guess 10 years ago people found Henry and George really dated.

I sort of like it, it reminds me of Gregory Peck. But I really dislike Greg.

I love it! I know a teen Gregory right now. Sweetest, most polite kid ever. I dislike Greg (which he apparently does too, as he goes by his full name) and think it’s quite handsome and classic.

I think it's a classic and I like it. I do not like Greg though! It sounds like a frog noise.

Gregory is very handsome.

It's heavy Catholic, so does persist in some quarters. I like it for personal reasons, but I wouldn't use it even for honouring: I'd happily tweak it to Gregor, which has a more energetic vibe.

It's dated, but very harmless and friendly, I would use it as a middle name. I hate nn Greg.

I like it, but I'm biased. It's my little brother's name and he's in his twenties. I think it goes well with a lot of names, making it a good middle name if one feels it's too dated to be a first name.

Apparently it was nearly unheard of until Gregory Peck. It entered the top 50 in 1947 and stayed there until 1988.

I feel that I *should* like it. It's got a neat history, lots of great namesakes, but I don't. Greg brings to mind a young man in the 1950s, the "all American boy." The fake idyllic surburban/small town life of Leave it to Beaver/The Andy Griffin Show. Boys will be boys, wink, wink, nudge, nudge but girls need to be perfect virgins.

A bit much, I know, but I'm reading the book the novie That Darn Cat was based on and the underlying racism, classism, and sexism is appalling.

I really hate it, and I don’t use that word often in regards to names. It’s just so ugly. It reminds me of yogurt or soft boiled eggs. I hate Greg as well.

I never cared for it. It is a classic though. The meaning is amazing though. I knew a Gregory once and he was quite sweet but creepy. So I have mixed associations.

Gregory in full is quite handsome. Greg seems more dated and I'm just not that into nicknames.

I don't think of it as a dated name, though I don't know anyone under 30 named Gregory. I think it's quite handsome. I also like Grigory.

For some reason I tend to think of Gregory and Douglas together, I suppose because of the nns Greg and Doug. These nns are very unattractive, especially Doug. Gregory in the full form isn't so bad though.
