Don't really like it

I dislike it. It was popular about 10 years ago here in the UK along with similar names like Lola and Lacey, which all have a tacky feel to me.

I don’t mind it as a nn but dislike it as a full name.

I never got this name. It's way too close to "sexy". Sexy Lexi. It is so sleazy. It was popular on its own in the UK which is so bad. As a nickname she could at least fall back onto something better. If you must have it, use Alexa, Alexandria, Alexis, Alexine, Alexandrina etc.It is one of those names that I find odd and misplaced on a child, kind of like Lola.It has this sleazy image of bars, beer, smoke, sex, red lights etc.

Ok as a nickname for Alexandra, Alexis, etc, terrible on its own.

Heh, you reminded me that when I was about 12 I had a crush on that name.
Then I hated it.
I hate that it rhymes with "sexy."
Now, I think it's horribad on paper, like for a character, or as a full name - but in real life, it could be a cute nickname for an Alexa and I would not have a problem with it.
For an Alexandra, I think it's too artificial. Like nicknaming a Margaret "Gari"

DespiseGosh, this is awful. It's so infantile, and I immediately think of a spoiled brat.

This^Took the exact words out of my mouth.

Way too many spellings, and nowhere near as dignified as the full forms.

Super dated. If I absolutely needed a nickname for Alexandra (my favorite form of that name) right now, I'd use Sasha.

It's alright, but I prefer Lexie. I doubt I like it enough to use though, but I'd be happy to see it on someone else.

Dated. I much prefer Alexa, with no nn.

I admit, I do find Lexi super cute as a nickname. But I would only ever use it as a nickname, and I don’t like Alexandra enough to use it as the name to get Lexi.
