[Opinions] Goretti
What do you think of this name? What nickname(s) would you use? And what middle name?I came across it long ago but didn't get interested. A month later, I met a girl with this name who was in her early twenties and then I realised the uniqueness and beautifulness of it.Gigi, Etta, Retta.Goretti Ella
Goretti Aster
Goretti Quinn

Not a fan, the religious implication is way too obvious. If someone’s really devout of that saint Maria Goretti with Goretti as a middle name would be better.

I can't believe I haven't thought of this before. I have a few names that I love because of St. Maria Goretti. I'm not sure I like the sound but I would use it as a middle name because of the connection to her.It seems extremely Catholic and I would definitely assume it was after the saint.

I don't like it, it sounds masculine sorry, the meaning was sad yet sweet though.

I'm sorry but it's hideous. I'm not usually this blunt but I don't see any appeal in it at all. It sounds completely like a surname to me (because it is) and brings to mind a fat, unattractive Italian man...

The "Gore" part is off-putting for me.

It's weird! That's not necessarily bad. I'm adding it to my Uncanny Valley name list, because it sort of fascinates me. It makes me think of a knife, for some reason. Like a stiletto dagger. It's kind of badass. I'm so curious about how often this name is used. I see on Wikipedia that it does have a few namesakes. Huh.Gigi doesn't work as a nickname for me because as far as I'm aware the G of Goretti is hard. But Gogo would work!

I'm struggling a little to like it because of the visual similarity to 'gorilla' and the surnaminess. I'd have to see it on a real person before I liked it, I think.Gretti, Retti.
Gigi doesn't work (Gigi has a J sound in my mind and doesn't make sense.)
Gregi could work (considering it's related to Gregorio)Goretti Quinn is cute. Also G. Aster.
Goretti Cleo
Goretti Nina
