I don’t like Amphelise.I think you should just let this whole thing go, it’s not worth it and I wouldn’t want you to get banned. Just try to avoid the posters you don’t like, this is just baiting them…ETA: Sorry, dumb moment. Didn’t realize you were trying to address Amphelise the poster, please note I was talking about the name! :)

Oh wow. For some reason it never occurred to me that Amphelise was an actual given name...I have no idea why not, I guess I thought it was a word...The etymology is neat; I like it. :)

It’s pretty cool, isn’t it! I love it because the origin is so tenuous, and because it appears, hangs around for ~500 years, and then just evaporates without a trace.It’s also my name in the Society for Creative Anachronism, so I answer to it as much as I do to Christine haha.
