I grew up with an
Elise who was a bit of an odd-duck. She was the only one I knew with that name for a long time so I always associated it with her, and it wasn't the best association. But we're long grown up now and it's easies to view the name on its own... and it's pretty, I think.
Elizabeth is nice but so boring and common -
Elise is a nice variation on it.
