Here are character names from "Passions", another soap, and probably the craziest one. Typical plotlines for "Passions" involved witchcraft, dolls coming to life, Princess Diana acting as a guardian angel, and magical trees warning people about tsunamis.

I remember that was Spike's (from Buffy the VS) favorite show. I didn't know the plotlines, but that seems appropriate considering his girlfriend talked to dolls.
And there's a character named Spike?! Ok, one of the Buffy writers must have loved Passions or vice versa; this can't be a coincidence.
I'd love to meet a couple named Fox and Fancy.
Gwen, Theresa, Julian, Jessica, Ivy, Esme, Whitney, Simone, Rae all seem normal/likeable.
I also like Charity, Paloma, Irma, Edna, Norma, Pilar, though they stick out as slightly more distinctive to me than the other group.
Pretty's weird, not in a way I like.
And there's a character named Spike?! Ok, one of the Buffy writers must have loved Passions or vice versa; this can't be a coincidence.

Awww yiss, this show was so wild. I was 15 or 16 when it first aired and I loved it. My god, that Princess Di plotline, lmao, how could I ever forget that?! So tasteless.
Passions made me love the name Charity, and I thought "Pilar" was the most devastatingly elegant thing ever thanks to this show. I also remember liking Grace, once upon a time (and wanting to try Tomato Soup Cake) because of Passions. This soap had a great "haunted New England" thing going on that I was VERY into. Now that I really think about it, this show was probably a pretty big influence on shifting my name taste, which pre-Passions was more "kreatyve word" stuff. Passions turned me onto more classic names.

Passions made me love the name Charity, and I thought "Pilar" was the most devastatingly elegant thing ever thanks to this show. Passions was completely, utterly, 100% bonkers. But they had some very interesting names!
This show was actually the first place where I saw / heard Sheridan & Alistair as names. I still really enjoy both (with Sheridan as a feminine name - I actually can't imagine it on a man).
