[Opinions] Louis
Thoughts on Louis?
I actually kinda like it, but which pronunciation do you prefer, LOU-ee, or literally like Lewis. If you prefer the latter, do you like the spelling Louis or Lewis better? I think it makes a great middle name. Handsome too.

Louis, pronounced Lou-ee, was the number one most common boys name in my grade at school, we had 5 in our grade (born late 90s early 2000), we also had 3 Louise and 2 Eloise so there must have been something in the water.
I really like it, i prefer Louis spelling but thats probably just because im so used to it

With this spelling, I immediately see, and definitely prefer, the pronunciation Lou-EE, with the stress on the last syllable.
It has this old French vibe (perhaps because it reminds me of king Louis XIV?) and I can't really get passed it. I want to like the name, but I don't (I don't hate it either).
LOO-ee
LOO-ee
I like Louis. I say it "loo-ee" since that is the standard pronunciation where I'm from. It's a common name of older generations and in the province's history.
Lewis is great too. I might even prefer this version because it is more unique and sparkly to me compared to Louis. I like how awkward and earnest it is, it's clever but also humble. Louis is rather more stuffy and proper, although I'm into that too.

I don't like it, I like Lewis though
It's alright pronounced LOO-is, NMS but very respectable. LOO-ee sounds silly and juvenile.
