[Opinions] Katie

It is just Jed Duggar who married Katey. The rest of the family didn't marry her. I don't care for the spelling Katey either.
Katie is cute. It has had a lot of use, but, if it were my first time encountering it, I think I would consider it spritely and cute. Regretfully, I've known so many women and girls named Katie that it feels very worn.

It's so infantile and whiny. Kayyyyyyyyy-tiiiii. YECCH

I like Katie
I understand what you're saying about it never being out of style because it's based on a traditional name that's been used for centuries. I'm not sure I agree, though, because of all the alternative nicks there are for Katherine, Kathryn, Katrina and the other variants. Kathy used to be the go-to nn but that went out about the time that Katie (and its various spellings) came in.
Katie is okay. I feel neutral on it. I do agree with RoxStar that it’s way too cutesy though.
The spelling immediately calls to mind Katey Sagal, who played Peg Bundy on Married … With Children."
I don't like the spelling because it seems unnecessary. But I can't stand the name Katie in any form anyway; it's so obnoxiously, aggressively cute, like a kid with fat pink chipmunk cheeks and pigtails and a lollipop and always giggling over nothing.
