I pronounce them differently: Alana is uh-LAHN-uh (long-A) whereas Alannah is uh-LAN-uh (more like Hannah). I'd pronounce Alanna like Alannah - it's the double-N that makes the difference for me.I used to be a big fan of Alannah. I'm pretty sure I had the combo Alannah Mavourneen in my top names a decade or so ago (talk about "Modern Irish," lol).
