I believe it's an Australian thing and the 'r' isn't fully vocalized but sounds more like 'ahn'

Like Ciara said, I'm a mod on this board. It's standard practice for mods to run the IP addresses of anonymous or unfamiliar posters to check for people trying to use multiple accounts or names. As you're aware, that's against the rules, so we like to nip it in the bud right away.
